Padel Courts in Javea

by Caitlin

If you’re visiting Javea or anywhere else in Spain, you absolutely need to play a game of padel during your trip. Padel is a huge sport in Spain, being the second most popular sport behind football!

The UK is only just catching up on the padel craze, and believe me, playing in Spain is heaps better – from the more suitable weather, natural scenery, and more professional facilities. And its likely a lot more cost-effective to play in Spain, so it should be high as one of your things to do in Javea!

Javea is home to a few padel centres, as well as other racket sports such as tennis courts. Read our guide to tennis courts in Javea if you’re looking into options to play tennis.

When to play padel in Javea

Timing is everything when it comes to padel in Javea! During summer, I’d strongly recommend booking your courts for early morning or late evening. The afternoon heat can be pretty intense, so aim for 8am to 10am when it’s still cool and pleasant.

If mornings aren’t your thing, evening sessions are fantastic too. Most courts are lit until closing time, so you can enjoy a game under the stars – it’s actually one of my favourite ways to spend an evening here.

Gyro Padel

The newest addition to Javea’s padel scene, and what an addition it is! Gyro Padel opened in 2024 and they’ve really raised the bar for padel facilities in the area.

What makes Gyro Padel special is their focus on creating a proper padel experience. The courts are professional quality, and they offer something really handy called “open matches” – perfect if you’re travelling without a full group of four players. You can join games where other players are looking for additional people of a similar skill level.

The attention to detail in their facilities really shows, and they provide personalised service based on what you’re looking for.

Padel 24 L’Ancora

Located in the Arenal area, padel courts are available at Paris24 Padel in the Arenal area of Javea, a short walk from the beach.

Court bookings are for a minimum of 1 hour and 30 minutes, which costs around €24 to reserve. I quite like that they have a bar and swimming pool on-site too – perfect for cooling off after your match or grabbing a drink while you wait for your court time.

You can book directly through their website, which makes planning your games much easier.

Club de Tenis

Don’t let the name fool you – this place has 4 excellent padel courts alongside their tennis and squash facilities. It’s also based in the Arenal area, so very accessible.

Paddle courts are rentable for 1 hour when 2 people play, and for 1.5 hours when 4 people are playing.

For non-members, it costs €10 per person to play padel there.

There are also 4 padel courts available at Club De Tenis, which is also based in the Arenal. The club have tennis courts, as well as a squash court you can book.

Making the most of your padel experience

If you’ve never played before, don’t worry! Most centres will have equipment you can rent, though bringing your own racket is always better if you have one. The sport combines elements of tennis and squash, played in an enclosed court with glass walls that you can use strategically.

Book ahead during peak season, particularly if you want those prime morning or evening slots. Courts fill up quickly, and you don’t want to miss out on this quintessentially Spanish experience during your stay in Javea!
