Wondering how far Denia is from Javea? Denia is a city located on the Costa Blanca in eastern Spain, about 8 kilometres (5 miles) north of Javea. They’re not far apart at all, as they’re both located on the Montgo mountain – Javea on the south side, and Denia on the north side.
To get from Denia to Javea, there are several transport options. You can take a car, taxi, bus, or even a ferry.

Travelling from Denia to Javea by car
The driving distance from Denia to Javea is 16 kilometres (10 miles) depending on traffic, and the route you take. By car, the journey from Denia to Javea takes around 20 minutes.
The most direct route is to drive on the Carerra de Dénia A Xábia, seeing you drive over the Montgo mountain and arrive into Javea.
Travelling from Denia to Javea by bus
You can take a bus from Denia to Javea. This journey takes longer than a car, due to the number of stops in other towns in between.
Take the Autocares Carrio which starts at Denia and finishes at Javea. See their timetable here for the route. Be aware that this is not a frequent bus service, so you’ll need to prepare your schedule accordingly. Its a direct route, so the bus journey will take about 30 minutes in total.
Travelling from Denia to Javea by ferry
You can take a ferry boat from Denia port arriving at Javea port, which takes around 1 hour and takes you through a delightful scenic route of the Cabo de San Antonio, and its cliffs that reach over 150 metres (500 feet) high.
