While there aren’t any theme parks directly in Javea, there is an amazing option in Benidorm about an hour’s drive away. We’ve also written a fantastic guide to waterparks near Javea which happens to be in Benidorm too – there’s a lot to see there!
Terra Mitica Benidorm
Terra Mitica is an exciting theme park, where you can immerse yourself in the history of ancient Mediterranean civilizations. Terra Mitica is well-known and loved by the locals of Javea – its a brilliant day out for family and friends of all ages.
Note: Terra Mitica is CURRENTLY CLOSED until Friday, May 16th 2025.
During the summer season, it is open every day for the summer season, which lasts until September. The park will be open from 10:30AM – 7:00 PM.
The park is divided into five themed zones, each offering a unique experience:
- Egypt: The land of pharaohs and pyramids.
- Greece: Rich mythology and culture of ancient Greece.
- Rome: The grandeur of the Roman Empire.
- Iberia: Full of the history and heritage of the Iberian Peninsula.
- The Islands (of the Mediterranean)
At Terra Mitica, you’ll find incredible shows, thrilling rides, and adrenaline-pumping experiences. Its a great day out, whether with family or friends.
Where is Terra Mitica?
Terra Mitica is located on the outskirts of Benidorm, which is roughly a 55-minute drive from Javea.
Terra Mitica’s Best Attractions
Inferno
Brace yourself for this thrilling roller coaster that takes you on a fiery journey through ancient myths. The twists, turns, and drops will leave you exhilarated.
Vuelo del Fénix
Experience a fall from 54 metres high with an acceleration of 0.25g. All in less than 3 seconds, travelling at 100 km/h.
Synkope
Swing high and fast on this pendulum ride. It’s one of my personal favourites – it sends you flying up in the air, and travel through breakneck speed at the speed of the pendulum.
Rapidos de Argos
Terra Mitica has some water rides too – and its one of the most refreshing slides on a hot summer day. Travel on a circular ship with tires that bounce and spin off walls, along the entire course of the river.
