Rock Climbing in Javea: Where to go
While mountains surround Javea, you’ll find its prime rock climbing spot in the Ambolo area, with 42 equipped routes of varying difficulties. If you’re an experienced rock climber, this should be high on your list of things to do when you’re in Javea.
The Ambolo area is known for the Playa Ambolo beach, which happens to be the only nudist beach in Javea! The Ambolo area is quite remote, outside of the town and away from the main tourist hotspots.
Before continuing, it is important to state that rock climbing is only for those with extensive experience and sufficient equipment. Always check the current conditions and any local regulations before you climb.
If you are new to rock climbing, I recommend booking an introductory session with Xabia Activa, who charges 25 euros per person, per hour to teach you how to climb (minimum group size is 2 people).
