How far is Albir to Javea?
Wondering how far Albir and Javea are from each other? Albir and Javea are located on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, in the province of Alicante. The distance between the two coastal towns is approximately 50 kilometres (31 miles) and are quite close to each other.
By car, the drive time can vary depending on traffic conditions, but it typically takes about 50 minutes to drive from Albir to Javea on the AP-7.
There are several options for getting from Javea to Albir by public transport, including buses and trams.
Travelling By Bus
From Javea to Albir
There is a bus service between Javea and Alicante which stops at Albir on the way.
Visit the Javea bus station, and catch the Alsa bus to Estació Central d Autobusos [Alacant].

Travelling by Tram
From Javea to Albir
There is no direct train service between Javea and Albir, but there’s a tram route to El Albir which starts from Gata de Gorgos, a town outside of Javea. To get to Gata de Gorgos, you can catch the Alsa bus from Javea bus station (L1 towards C/ Jose Moncho Ferre) which takes around 10 minutes. Once you’ve arrived at Gata De Gorgos, walk to the local tram station (5 minutes away).
Catch the Line 9 tram which heads in the direction of Benidorm, which takes you to the El Albir stop in about 54 minutes. After, you’ll need to walk to the town of Albir, which will take 15-20 minutes.

From Albir to Javea
Just like the Javea-Albir route, there is no direct train service. You’ll need to travel to Gata de Gorgos first, and then catch a bus (or taxi) to Javea.
First, start at the El Albir tram station which is located slightly outside of the town. Catch the number 9 tram to Denia, and ride until the Gata tram stop.
Walk to Av. de la Marina Alta 178, which is around 5 minutes from the tram station, and catch the L22 bus (Av. Diputació 51 (Estació Autobusos) which will take you all the way to Javea bus station.
